About Me

Meet Jessica

By  |

Hi Everyone!  My name is Jessica Ehler, I am a 27 year old mom of two wonderful boys Tyton and Rush (2 1/2 and 5), and wife to my best friend Ryan.  We own Flex Fitness, a personal training gym in Chandler, AZ.

Our passion in life is helping people become the best versions of themselves, inside and out.  I created this blog to inspire, educate and motivate, and am hoping to encourage women to try new things and see that fit and healthy is not only fun, but manageable with a crazy schedule.

I. DO. NOT. JUDGE.  I once spent an entire summer drinking a 12 pack of Coke everyday along with nothing but Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Wendy’s bacon cheeseburgers from the $1 menu.  I smoked for almost 10 years, only quitting during my pregnancies.  In fact I would workout and smoke a cigarette with my protein shake afterwards.  I may never have been overweight, but I was unhealthy and “skinny fat” at 125 pounds and 28.9% body fat.  I used to think that eating healthy was eating family sized chicken Caesar salads everyday because it was a salad.  Point being, we all have to start somewhere and we aren’t always proud of the way we have lived in the past, but every day we get another opportunity to progress in life, learn new things and make new and better choices.

I once felt like I was in a rut with my life, and while I loved my children very much, I didn’t know who I was anymore.  I wasn’t happy no matter how hard I tried to be.  I was afraid and had zero self esteem.  After taking some time to organize and prioritize I got in touch with what I needed and figured out how I could accomplish that while still making my children #1.  I realized that I loved to lift and gain strength.  Seeing your body take shape in correlation to the amount of work you put in is extremely rewarding.  I also realized I love to make big healthy meals.  Having my family ooh and ahh over something healthy gives me crazy satisfaction!

At 27 I am in the best shape of my life and that is after my 2 kids.  I am also the happiest I have ever been!  Maybe also the busiest, but apparently I thrive on organized chaos.  I believe that hard work always pays off and that is how I live my life.  Every morning I stop for a moment and think about how I can make the day better than the previous one.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not some crazy workaholic/ gym rat.  I workout for 1 hour/day and I give myself mental health days once in a while, turn off my phone, shirk all cleaning responsibilities for the day and do whatever the kids want.  I always try to have balance in my life.  I love my gym time and believe in being consistent, but my life is not over if I miss one workout and my butt will not get fat from eating pizza once in a while.  I am strict with my meal plan when I have to be, but I am not die hard all year round, I would go crazy.  Balance!

If you have any questions, just let me know!  I plan on sharing a lot of information and tips on how I seem to get it all done!
