Healthy Freezer Pops – Zipzicles

By  |

My grandma always finds me the coolest stuff, and these Zipzicles (Ziploc popsicles) are no exception!  The freezer pops you buy in the store are straight chemicals and I refuse to buy them for my kids.  I know, I’m a mean mom, but the boys will get over it because I always find a homemade version that keeps them from missing out.  Plus, just like everything else, they love and appreciate it so much more when they make it themselves and get to pick what they put into it.  So I asked them what flavors they wanted and came up with some delicious and quick recipes.

Healthy freezer pops are just too easy to make.  Blend the ingredients, funnel them into the Zipzicles packages or even just a regular popsicle mold, freeze and you’re done!  Oddly enough, the easiest way for a mess free transition into the Zipzicles package was using a turkey baster to suck up the blend and insert into the packaging.

Strawberry Apple

2 Cups fresh or frozen strawberries

1 – 1/2 Cups organic unsweetened apple juice

Berry Blast

1/2 cup Orange Juice

1 cup Fresh Raspberries

1 cup Fresh Blackberries

3/4 cup Fresh Blueberries

1 medium Ripe Banana

Tropical Fusion

1/2 cup Orange Juice

1 cup Pineapple Chunks

1 medium Ripe Banana

1 Mango- peeled and chopped

My grandma purchased these Zipzicles packages from Bed Bath & Beyond and also extra accessories from the Zipzicles website.  You can also purchase them on Amazon.  They are reusable with a good washing- if your kids don’t chew on them like mine 😉  *I am in no way affiliated with this company, I just think that it is an awesome product!
