Fruit Only Popsicles

By  |

I love this “recipe” because you can literally make these popsicles out of any combination of fruits that you and your kids desire.  There are tons of recipes out there to make your own, but they all include adding juice.  Making them solely out of fruit does cost more than your average box of popsicles, but if you choose fruits that are on sale, they can be pretty cheap.  Plus, my kids love helping me make these so much, that it definitely makes up for the added price to have them participate in making a healthy treat.

My boys chose to make these ones out of mango, raspberries and kiwi.  These particular popsicle molds came from Bed, Bath & Beyond.

1 Mango= $1, 2 Kiwi = $1, Pint of Raspberries= $.88

So really, 4 all natural 100% fruit popsicles for $2.88 isn’t a bad deal!

I used the little 1.5 c food processor to blend each fruit individually and then add to the mold.  My poor food processor is on its last leg so I need to get a new one because I use it all the time!  It is especially useful for sauces and dressings, and much easier than bringing out the big boy processor.

Throw in the freezer and enjoy, later!

I always let the boys take them into the pool.  Less mess for me to clean up afterward 🙂
